When I Grow Up is a semi-custom children book online shop where parents can create a story book with their children's name on it. The first story titled "When _(name)_ Grows Up" is the foundation of the business, and so the client decided to use the same name for the shop. The client needed the logo to make their business looks more professional and official.
I came up with the ideas of creating a warm and friendly approach to both parents and children.

About The Visual of the Logo
The client chose option 4 where there is a kid daydreaming with a bubble wrapping up his/her head and there is a handwritten font "When I Grow Up" with orange colour on it.
Orange was chosen because it does its job to make everything warm and friendly in an instant, and most importantly it is neutral, not feminine nor masculine. I also decided to make the kid genderless so everyone feel accepted here.
The handwritten font added child-like feeling to the logo, the purpose is to make the brand's mood feels light (the process to make the custom book is super easy).
Color palette, font selection, and I added characters to make it more friendly and playful. The characters are basically the cartoon version of the client.
